These works came about in response to calls for the need for highway safety improvements for pedestrians and motorists on the stretch of road from Ludgvan Churchtown to the Crowlas junction with the A30.

Cornwall Council’s Highways Team met with local residents, the Parish Council, the local MP and Police, and carried out a few rounds of public and stakeholder consultation, revising the plans and drawings for the scheme in response to consultation responses and the constraints of highways regulations.

In June 2025 a public meeting was held, where Cornwall Council’s Highways representatives met with Parish Councillors and local residents for consultation on the final drawings for the scheme.

Shown on this page are the ‘before and after’ drawings, showing the initial drawings which had been consulted on, and the ‘after’ drawings, showing the works as they are now being carried out.
