Ludgvan is a rural parish situated in Cornwall in the far south-west of England. Close to Penzance and overlooking Mounts Bay it is a mere 10 miles (16 km) from Lands End as the crow flies. It is a linear parish, several miles long and straddles the A30 trunk road within almost its entire length.

National Highways are currently exploring opportunities to improve travel and active travel provision on the A30 between St Erth & Newtown Roundabout. They are seeking input from residents of the parish.
